Job
description:
The
protocol software engineer will be responsible for new
feature development, scalability engineering, performance
enhancements and optimizations of Mesh Routing Protocol. The
candidate would be primarily responsible for conceptualization,
design, coding and testing of new features in the data plane and the
control plane of mesh routers. The responsibilities would also
include engineering and improving the product scalability
through profiling, performance analysis, and data structure and
algorithm assessment, to improve the capacity, cost-efficiency,
reliability and performance of the protocol. The position requires
experience with multiple LAN/WAN and network layer protocols.
Technical
Requirements:
1.
Experience in the area of IP routing/switching.
2. Candidate should have
proven expertise in designing and implementing IP routing
infrastructures for networking or router equipment, and a strong
understanding of implementing QoS-based IP forwarding and IP
multicast forwarding.
3. Should have hands-on
development experience with at least one (preferably several) of
the following routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, or BGP.
4.
Strong "C" and embedded programming/debugging skills.
5.
Ability to develop and analyze complex routing/switching
related data structures.
6. Desirable
skills: Linux Kernel Programming 802.11 technology and ad-hoc
networks.
