Job Description:


Requirement:


Experience: 2 – 7 years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications/Computer Science or related field.
Location: Bangalore
Designation: STE/SSTE

Job Profile:

The candidate will be part of the System testing and Verification team based out of Company’s Bangalore R&D center. Primary job function is to deliver high quality system level testing on Company’s exciting spectrum of WLAN products. 

The responsibilities include contributing as part of teams working on Company’s cutting edge Mesh and WLAN products. As part of this, some of the key contributions would include understanding product features, functionality, test plan preparation based on functional specs and customer requirements, test-bed planning and setup, estimation of timelines, driving and contributing on test execution, reporting/interfacing with internal and external customers, test automation and hiring. Tasks would also include recreation & fix verification of customer issues, mentoring & training junior team members. 

Technical requirements: 

 

1) Strong testing experience & fundamentals on the following areas: 

a) Wifi (802.11) protocol – 802.11a/b/g/n, WMM, WPA, u-APSD, 802.1x based authentication schemes. 

b) Layer 2 Ethernet, and L3 routing, TCP/IP experience including concepts such as Address Learning, Switching, Forwarding, Basic routing etc is a must. This includes specs like 802.1q (VLAN) and 802.1p (QoS), IP Multicast, IGMP snooping etc. Knowledge and/or experience of STP, IP Routing Protocols like RIP/OSPF/BGP, IPv6 etc is nice to have, but not a must. 

c) Define test cases, create and execute test plans for testing of Access Points, Security, Performance measurement, etc. 

d) Execute test plans and compile test reports for internal and external releases. 

e) Must be able to use network analyzers to pin-point and isolate problems. 

2) Expertise with the following tools is highly recommended:
a) Veriwave
b) Ixia
c) Azimuth
