Position:Lead Engineer – Embedded/ System Software
Education :B.Tech/M.Tech


Required Skill sets:

- Telecom/Datacom product/ system software design and development experience using c
- Analysis of requirements and innovative solution design along with reusing existing components
- Task breakdown and resource/ complexity estimation
- Design integration, test and release
- Ability to lead a team
- Programming experience using c on embedded systems, preferably telecom and datacom
- Effective use of data structures such as lists, queues, hash, arrays
- Use of synchronization in multi threaded/ interrupt driven programs - semaphores, mutex
- Experience in using gnu tool chain – gcc, gdb, make etc
- Experience in using configuration management tools such as CVS
- Experience in debugging at module and system level
- Experience in event/ message driven systems programming, timers, tasks
- Knowledge of Linux kernel programming
- Use of bug tracking tools such as Bugzilla
- Experience in designing developing module level regression test suites
- Byte/ Bit level message parsing and processing
- Understanding hardware data sheets, silicon vendor’s API and developing drivers
- Design documentation

Other preferred skills:
- Domain knowledge and experience in SDH/ SONET/ (Metro/Carrier) Ethernet systems
- Layer-2 Switching/ Bridging, VLAN, QoS, STP, MPLS
- Understanding of linkers and their control using linker scripts
- SNMP agent and manager development
- Ability to work across programming platforms – c, c++, Java etc.
- Knowledge of software subsystems such as file systems, database etc.
