Description

Major Duties
•
Analyzes specifications to Evolve Engineering design to meet product specifications. * Produce and evaluates design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized
•
Collaborate with other functional areas like PVNV, supply management, Manufacturing, Quality. * Provides technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
•
Develops and support execution for test & analysis plan for product verification and validation.
•
Project & Resource management for vehicles support.
•
Promote engineering capabilities as a platform team member at the unit. * Perform vehicle dynamics and vehicle performance calculations * Arranging and participating in cross functional team members meetings
•
Design and test all products to assure compliance. * Component Sourcing, Pricing & Cost Reduction.
•
Responsible for resolving issue in Product Serviceability, Quality and Warranty. Predict success based on a



Qualification
Education
•
BE/B Tech with 7 years of relevant experience or or ME/M Tech Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.


Required Skills
•
6-9 years of Strong experience in Chassis engineering for new product program in OEM for Automotive/Construction/Agriculture equipment manufacturing organization.
•
Should have experience in managing resources and working with contract resources. Should have experience in resources planning and priority conflict management.
•
Should have good experience in Product Delivery Process & has a good experience in independently applying knowledge. * Strong knowledge and application experience in mechanical engineering and Structural design.
•
Ability to lead team for Design Projects and 3-4 resources to meet project timeline and performance requirement and other goals.
•
Expert in Design mechanical systems (e.g. frame, suspension, steering, structures etc.) within cost, reliability, and Performance targets. * Analyze failure modes and provide solutions for new/current product improvement.
•
Strong knowledge in Structural designing with Sheet metal components, Weldment and Large fabrications using Pro-Sheet metal. * Strong experience in designing Stampings and weldment structures.
•
Strong knowledge in manufacturing methods * Strong knowledge in GD&T and its application. * Strong basics in Engineering Calculations. * Should have a good knowledge of material standards and engineering practices
•
Should be able to develop design concepts. * Should be able to work & lead team and support team, based on the organizational requirement.
•
Strong experience of Project management. * Strong Communication skill in English both written and spoken


Desired Skills
•
Project management experience including plan development, team management, requirements gathering, delivery, maintaining Quality aspect.
•
Proficiency in Pro/Engineer modules. * Exposure to product development and quality systems like EPDP/PLPDP & JDQPS. * Exposure to Project Management
•
Working knowledge in PDMLink/Windchill. * Experience of leading Design project and international exposure.
•
Should be capable to analyze and solve field failures. * Working knowledge of procedures related to product verification and validation
